My dh moved his from the crawl space into the games room, where it temporarily resides until the workshop renovations are complete. Then he’ll move in there and our “workshop” will move into the crawlspace, LOL. In fact the workshop stuff is all set up in the crawlspace now. It’s about 5 feet tall in there, so you have to duck, but now that he stole the real workshop for his office we had to put the workshop stuff somewhere!

Rhonda, we have some Mickey Mouse shower curtains in the ceiling of our bedroom as part of the vapor barrier, too!

When I was little, my dad built a rock wall for my mom’s garden, and I put a cookie cutter in it, one shaped like a horse. When they replaced the wall a few summers ago, they saved the chunk with my cookie cutter and now that chunk sits in my garden.

But I did recently move my office home. That was a big project; shuffling rooms, cleaning and setting things up. But I love it now!

I have never done renovations but I loved reading about your experience with renovating and hiding things for others to find!

That desk is over 25 years old now. The chair has been about to fall to pieces for a decade. But I won’t let my dh replace it. I just got a .cushion to make my trunk taller

Yes, I know I’m very lucky. But I’ve done my share of being crammed in a corner while kids go wild. 🙂 My husband’s home office was in the crawl space until just before Christmas. Now that the kids are gone, we are renovating the old workshop, where they hung out with their friends, into an office for the dh.

Thanks for sharing it. How cool that you’re leaving little treasures for the next owners to find.

Love the roll top desk. And I particularly like your cover for “Where She Belongs.”
