Serve and Protect Series gets new Covers

Phew! I feel like I’ve just completed a marathon. Sadly, it didn’t involve any physical activity, which I really, really need to focus on. Rather, it involved still more hours in a chair as I browsed stock photo sites and conferred with my cover artist (the talented and very cool Kim Killion, of Hot Damn Designs).

Are the covers perfect representations of my characters from each of those three stories (and the novella)? No. In my experience, a cover is never perfect. Her hair is a little too wavy/straight/long/short, he’s a little more/less muscular than I intended him, etc. But what they do do, I think, is capture the tone/mood of the series collectively. Individually, I think they each reflect something true about the relationship between the hero and heroine. And I’m thrilled with them! Here they are for your viewing pleasure.

So what do you think? Do you have a favorite? Have you read any of these books? And if so, how does your experience of the book line up with the new covers? I’d love to know!

Oh my word Norah! I love them all. I’ll send another reply tomorrow when I have more time but wanted to let you know I’m happy to know you. Doris

    Norah,

In answer to your questions – they look fantastic, yes, yes and finally, perfectly! Oh, did you want more detail???

  • Gorgeous covers, Norah. Can’t wait to read every book. I love your voice and your writing style!

  • Can I just say wow! All these covers are absolutely gorgeous and definitely allow the brilliance of your books to come through. I won’t be buying any of the Serve and Protect series until the new covers are out on Amazon but I do notice one of the covers are available so there goes yet another book on my very looonnnnnggggg TBR list. 😉

    • Norah:

Thanks, Danielle! And I know what you mean about that TBR list. Good thing for Kindle, because I wouldn’t have room for paper books of all the titles I’m currently packing. But I need some vacation to READ them. Still, it doesn’t stop me from acquiring more. It’s a disease. 🙂

  • Wow Norah!
    I love all of them.
My favorite is the cover of Guarding Suzannah..
I think the cover portrays the characters that I have in mind for Suzannah and Quigley quite well 😀

    • Norah:

Thanks, MBR! The more I look at it, the more it *does* seem to take on their identifies (Suzannah & Quigg). But I can’t tell you how many pictures of hot couples I waded through to arrive at these ones. Not sexy enough, too erotic, wrong ethnicity. Also, too many smiling faces. Can’t have shiny, happy people on the front of a romantic suspense.

  • Lori Gallagher:

Love the new covers, Norah! It’s impossible for me to pick a favourite.

    • Norah:

Thanks, Lori! And tough picking one, isn’t it? I think I like Needing Nita best, which makes me LOL. That’s the free one.

  • I liked your previous covers, but these are absolutely awesome, Norah!! Covers for a series represent a special challenge, alerting readers that the books are part of a series yet making each book distinctive. These do that beautifully!

    • Norah:

Wow, thank you, Deb! I’m grinning like a proud mama. You’d think I actually made them myself. 🙂 Seriously, I’m so glad to hear you say that. That’s exactly what we were aiming to do.
